Saskatoon police say a man was doing car repairs when the jack holding up the vehicle slipped and fell on the victim.
Officers were called to an injured person in the 400-block of 3rd Avenue North at approximately 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

The 54-year-old was pronounced dead at the scene.
His name has not been released.
The incident occurred near Saskatoon City Hospital.
