Toronto police on the hunt for suspect in west-end sexual assault

TORONTO – Toronto police are investigating an alleged sexual assault in the west end.

Police say a 22-year-old woman reported she was sexually assaulted around 3 a.m. by a man who approached her from behind on Lansdowne Avenue (north of Bloor Street West).

The suspect is described as white, roughly 30 years old, five feet seven inches, with a stocky, athletic build and blond or light red facial hair.

Police say he was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and shorts.

They say the suspect ran westward down a alleyway.

He is believed to have scratches on his face as a result of the incident.
