The identities of three people who died in a small airplane crash in the Okanagan Sunday night have been confirmed by B.C. Coroners Service.

The pilot of the plane that crashed near Brenda Mines Road near the Coquihalla Highway was Colin Moyes, 52, from West Vancouver.

The passengers in the plane were Peter Brooke Lovelace Keate, 81, and Inez Helen Keate, 79. Both were also from West Vancouver.

The plane had taken off from Okanagan Lake a few minutes earlier and had been heading towards Pitt Meadows Airport.

The identities of the three people were confirmed by dental records.
