Two teens injured by exploding tire in Brampton

TORONTO – Peel police say two male teens were taken to hospital Tuesday night after they were injured when a car tire exploded in Brampton.

The incident happened on Drake Blvd just after the supper hour when police say the teens were trying to push a car that was hung up on a curb.

The tire was spinning quickly and exploded, injuring both of them.

Police say the teens were 15 and 16 years of age.

One victim was taken by helicopter to SickKids with non-life threatening leg injuries and the other was taken to a nearby hospital.
