Do you have trouble getting out of bed in the morning? Are you one of those people that hits “snooze” three times before actually shutting off your alarm? If so, you might want to invest in the latest viral Kickstarter campaign.
The device, dubbed “Ruggie,” is an alarm clock rug that can only be turned off by planting your feet on the memory foam padding – forcing you to get out of bed. To make sure you don’t get back into bed, Ruggie will only turn off if you have enough pressure on it (in other words, it makes sure you are standing) and it waits three seconds before silencing your alarm.

Even better, you can program it to relay customized motivational sayings once you are awake.
Ruggie – created by Vancouver resident Winson Tam – has a built in speaker and LED display that shows the time and doubles as a night light. All of the electronics are removable, so you can even throw Ruggie in the washing machine to keep it clean.
The alarm clock has already garnered over $135,000 in funding on the crowd-funding website; surpassing its goal of $50,000 in just five days.
