TORONTO – The Toronto International Boat Show boasts million-dollar vessels and other maritime gadgets, but its most unique draw is a squirrel on water-skis.
Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel is an international star of sorts, having appeared in two 2004 Hollywood movies, Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, as well as several TV shows.
Sporting a miniature life-jacket, she skis on floating foam blocks around a heated pool behind a remote-controlled toy boat.

The Twiggy franchise has played around the world since 1979, although not always by the same squirrel.
Owners Chuck and Lou Ann Best rescued the original Twiggy , which was orphaned after Hurricane David struck their Florida hometown, and started the aquatic acrobat franchise still performing today. Past Twiggies were adopted as family pets, and the show continued even after Chuck’s death in a 1997 boating accident.
