The NHL Central Scouting Bureau’s final 2012 ranking list includes three Saskatoon Blades expected to be drafted in the NHL Entry Draft at the end of June.
Defenseman, Dalton Thrower is ranked 26th for North American skaters in the prospects list. The 18-year-old from Vancouver stands 6’ tall and tallied 55 points in the 2011-12 season.
Eighteen-year-old Lukas Sutter was ranked 39th among North American skaters. This Blades centerman from Lethbridge stands 6’1″ tall and accumulated 61 points in the 2011-12 season.

Blades 19-year-old goaltender Andrey Makarov was ranked 7th among NHL goalie prospects. Makarov comes from Kazan, Russia, stands 6’1″ tall, and had a 0.913 save percentage in the 2011-12 regular season.
Other Saskatchewan Western Hockey League (WHL) notables include: Chandler Stephenson, Dominik Volek, Coda Gordon, Graham Black, Morgan Rielly, Travis Brown, Mike Winther and Cole Holowenko.
Moose Jaw Warriors Defenseman, Morgan Rielly was ranked 5th for North American skaters on the NHL Central Scouting Bureau’s prospect list.
The 50th NHL Entry Draft will take place June 22nd and 23rd in Pittsburgh.
The top ranked player is Russian right-winger Nail Yakupov, with the Edmonton Oilers currently holding the number one pick.
