ICBC says a towing company, an environmental response company and a dive team were all on hand Saturday to remove a truck from Swan Lake.
The vehicle fell through the ice last week. Although the driver wasn’t injured, the truck was left in the lake, where it sat for days.
The local electoral area director raised concerns that the vehicle could become an environmental hazard. However, ICBC says the fuel tank did not leak and there was no environmental damage as a result of the incident.
The truck was insured. Exactly what kind of coverage the owner is entitled to is still being determined.
