A 26-year-old Toronto man wanted on a Canada-wide warrant has been arrested and charged with 27 firearm related offences.
Police said Javier Gomez was arrested on Monday without incident by members of the Gun and Gang Task Force.
The arrest warrant was issued after two handguns, a silencer, and a machine gun were found in an abandoned vehicle in Toronto earlier last month.
Police said a black Mercedes jumped the curb on Transit Road near Allen Road around 4 a.m. on Dec. 4 and was found by officers with its engine still running, lights on and doors unlocked.

The accused faces charges including careless storage of a firearm, firearm obtained by the commission of an offence and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
Gomez is scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
