Lt.-Gov. Janice Filmon holds first public levee

WINNIPEG – Manitoba Lieutenant Governor Janice Filmon held her first New Year’s Day Levee at the Legislature Building.

The annual event is held every January 1 and is hosted in the Blue Room of the Legislature.

The public was able to meet with Filmon and enjoy other entertainment like sleigh rides around the grounds.

Premier Greg Selinger was also there to greet guests.

Donations were also accepted for Winnipeg Harvest at the event.

Filmon was appointed as Manitoba’s Lt.-Gov. earlier this year.
