Saskatoon man wins $1M jackpot at Dakota Dunes Casino

Ben Vuong became Saskatchewan’s newest millionaire during the holidays at Dakota Dunes Casino. The “Smoke Signals Jackpot” worth $1,166,462 was awarded on Whitecap Dakota First Nation, which is south of Saskatoon.

“It makes it that much better when it is one of our regular patrons,” said Dakota Dunes Casino GM Gary Daniels.

Smoke Signals is a progressive jackpot that links 52 slot machines at all six Saskatchewan Indian Gaming Authority (SIGA) casinos.

As of Monday, it has paid out a total of $4,685,331 to three lucky winners.
