The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now laid charges against a 29-year-old man in relation to the shooting death of another man last year.
Thirty-three-year-old Pitt Meadows resident Peter Bender was found dead in the parking lot of the Haney Presbyterian Church on 216 St and Lougheed Highway on Dec. 19, 2015.

Twenty-nine-year-old Randy Scott has now been charged with second degree murder and is in police custody after turning himself in.

IHIT says the homicide was a result of a domestic incident that occurred in the early morning hours.
Scott is expected to appear in the Port Coquitlam Provincial Court on Feb. 18.
