Masked robbers on bicycles face several charges after knifepoint robberies

HALIFAX – Police in Halifax say two men face several charges after a pair of robberies were carried out by suspects on bicycles.

Police say an 18-year-old man called them just before 11 p.m. Tuesday to report that he was robbed at knifepoint on Coburg Road by two men who were wearing masks and riding bicycles.

An hour later police say they were called by a 32-year-old man who said he was robbed by two men on bikes while walking on Mumford Road.

Police say the responded to the Bayers Road area shortly after midnight, where they arrested two men, a 21-year-old and a 22-year-old, in connection with the robberies.

The pair face charges including robbery with violence and carrying a concealed weapon and wearing a disguise with intent.
