Call for tenders finally issued for Dorval Circle ‘overpass to nowhere’

MONTREAL – It maybe hard to believe, but Quebec’s Ministry of Transport announced Dorval’s “overpass to nowhere” could actually lead to the Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport by the end of 2017.

Transports Quebec is calling for tenders to build the road linking the two overpasses that travel over the train tracks along Highway 20.

Once completed, they will provide direct access to the airport from the 20.

Transports Quebec had hoped to reach a deal with CP rail to build pillars on the land.

But after 18 months of negotiations, they decided to finish the overpasses without the pillars.
