CALGARY – One hundred people were evacuated from an area in Calgary’s northeast Thursday afternoon due to a propane leak.

Calgary fire crews responded to an intersection in Bridgeland at about 2:20 p.m. for a report of a truck leaking propane.

Fire officials said the truck was carrying a large propane tank used to fill smaller tanks on a construction site at 9 Street N.E. Firefighters determined the leak came from the transfer pump on the truck.
