Environment Canada has ended the special weather statement for Saskatoon but has issued a freezing rain warning for Prince Albert, Lloydminster, North Battleford, Meadow Lake, Melfort and into parts of east central Saskatchewan for freezing rain expected Tuesday night.
A low pressure system pushing into Alberta is expected to spread an area of freezing rain across the central Prairies.
Freezing rain is expected mainly between North Battleford and Meadow Lake, spreading into Prince Albert area by midnight and then continuing towards the Manitoba border overnight.

Approximately two to four hours of freezing rain is expected with two to four millimetres of ice accretion possible in some areas.
Saskatoon is expecting a chance of freezing rain between 9 p.m. CT on Tuesday and midnight creating slick road conditions Wednesday morning.
Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Environment Canada says it is important to take extra care when walking or driving in affected areas and slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
Motorists planning to head out on roads are advised to use caution and check in with Saskatchewan Highway Hotline before heading out.
