‘It’s a Christmas miracle’: Woman called away moments before tree falls on her car

During the storm on Thursday night, a woman in Coquitlam was heading to her car parked in front of her house.

But just before she was due to get in, her neighbour invited her in to his house to check out their new washer and dryer.

They had just gone inside when they heard a horrific crash.

A huge tree had fallen on her car, crushing the driver’s side where she was supposed to be sitting.

“She was going to get into the car, we called her in to look at the new washer dryer,” said the neighbour, Dominic Zappone.

“Very very very very lucky. Nobody was hurt. The house didn’t come down, the railing didn’t come down and the Christmas lights were on.”

“I would say maybe it’s a Christmas miracle.”
