WINNIPEG – If you know a Manitoban who dedicates their time to make a difference in our community every year, you can now nominate them for an award.

Volunteer Manitoba is kicking off its annual awards dinner nominations December 4 with the deadline on February 5.

“Half of all Manitobans volunteer so this is an opportunity for us to recognize them within the community as well as inspire others because we have so many fabulous stories,” said Volunteer Manitoba’s Executive Director Noreen Mian.

You can view the list of 12 volunteer categories here. More than 30 awards will be handed out the the Volunteer Manitoba Awards on April 28, 2016.

“There are awards for people who work in mental health, who work with children, in housing,” Mian said.
