In a statement to People magazine, the couple said, “Sadly we have decided to go our separate ways. We’ve shared nine beautiful and joyous years together. During that time we experienced love, friendship and the inevitable challenges that come with managing a marriage, careers, blended families and health issues.”

Yolanda, 51, has three children, Gigi, 20, Bella, 19, and Anwar 16, from her earlier marriage to real estate mogul Mohammed Hadid. David, 66, is father to five children from previous marriages. David and Yolanda have no children together.

The couple did not elaborate on reasons for the split, but there is much speculation that problems began for the couple when Yolanda was diagnosed with Lyme disease in 2012, and it might help explain why “health reasons” was included in their People statement.
