Man’s death in northern Saskatchewan treated by RCMP as suspicious

A man’s death is believed to be suspicious in nature, according to RCMP in northern Saskatchewan. At 11:20 p.m. CT on Monday, police were called to a sudden death in Pelican Narrows, Sask.

Upon arrival, the body of a 26-year-old man was found outside in an open area.

The victim’s name has not been released at this time. An autopsy has been scheduled for Wednesday in Saskatoon.

The investigation is ongoing with the assistance of RCMP major crime units, forensic identification sections, police dog services and the office of the chief coroner.
