Air search starts for missing Strathmore man; High River vigil Monday

Strathmore RCMP are using a helicopter Monday to assist in their efforts to find a missing Strathmore man.

Forty-one-year-old Michael Ully  hasn’t been seen since Nov. 22 when family said he was leaving his home. He hasn’t been home or to work since.

On Wednesday, RCMP found Ully’s black Dodge Ram in the Carseland area, just south of Strathmore.

On Sunday, members of the Foothills Search and Rescue team looked for clues near the Carseland Weir.

“According to family,  this disappearance is out of character for Mr. Ully,” said Sgt. Steve Vince.  He added there is no indication of foul play.

A Facebook page has been set up called Help Find Mike Ully. A candlelight prayer vigil is being planned for 7 p.m. Monday at Rotary Park in High River, where Ully grew up.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Strathmore RCMP at 403-934-3968.
