Oliver — This year has been a strong year for summer tourism in B.C. with an up tick of foreign visitors, according to recent statistics from the province.
The Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association is kicking off Winter in Wine Country this weekend to keep the tourism momentum going.
“Over these next two weekends we have a concentration events like no where else in the valley, it is very exciting,” says Tony Munday, the association’s executive director.
Thirty wineries in the region will be showcasing their wines. The festivities include limited releases and food pairings, attracting people to the south Okanagan during a slow time for the tourism season.
