One person has died in a motorhome fire in Surrey this morning.

The fire department was called to the 800-block of 160 Street at 7:30 a.m. and found a motorhome that was fully engulfed. Neighbours had called 9-1-1 after seeing smoke and being unable to get inside.

When firefighters extinguished the fire, they found one person dead inside the motorhome. The identity of the person has not yet been confirmed, but at this point foul play is not suspected.

Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit, Surrey Fire Department Fire Investigator, and the Coroner are still on scene investigating.

Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.
