Front end loader stolen in Winnipeg

WINNIPEG — Winnipeg police are searching for a stolen vehicle, but it’s not your average car.

A front end loader Caterpillar was stolen from a locked compound in the 200 block of Peguis Street.

Police said they received a report of the stolen piece of equipment on Nov. 23 but that it was stolen sometime between the 20th-22nd.

Officers said suspects entered the compound and attended to the parked front end loader and managed to start the vehicle and drive it out of the compound.

It is a 2012 Caterpillat 938H front end loader with Rocky Road Recycling decals Unit #135 on it.

Members of the Stolen Auto Unit are investigating.
