Manitobans travelling around the American holiday can expect the usual delays due to unpredictable weather and heavier traffic on the highways.
However, the CPB is offering some helpful tips to maximize your time.
- Check the border wait times and conditions at crossings so you can choose the least congested route.
- Beat the border rush and cross during off-peak times, such as 6:00 a.m. or after 3:00 p.m.
- Keep travel documents handy and make sure each passenger has the correction information accessible and ready to give to the CBP officer.
- Know what’s in your vehicle and be prepared to declare all items.
- Monitor Minnesota and North Dakota weather and road conditions.
