‘This is the most excited that I’ve been’: Eskimos Mike Reilly ahead of Sunday’s West Final

EDMONTON — An epic tilt between the Edmonton Eskimos and Calgary Stampeders is less than 24 hours away.

On Sunday afternoon, the two Alberta teams will battle it out to see which one advances to the Grey Cup.

Ahead of Sunday’s game, Global Edmonton’s Kevin Karius went one-on-one with QB Mike Reilly after Saturday’s practice at Commonwealth Stadium.

“This one’s tough for me,” Reilly said. “That might just be because I’m in it right now but this is the most excited that I’ve been.”

“We’re hosting the West Final, we’re playing against Calgary. Never mind that they won the Grey Cup last year and they ended our season last year, but just with the battle of Alberta and the rivalry between us Calgary, to play them at our place in a big game, it doesn’t get better than that.”
