The funding will go towards a program called Students Participating Actively in Realizing Connections, also known as Project SPARC Southwest.

“What we intend to do is serve students, some students within the high schools who are maybe there but not making great progress,” said Judy Stolk-Ingram, the executive director with Career Transitions. “We also can serve students who have the high school diploma, but maybe haven’t been able to find out what their next step is going to be.”

The program is intended to be a two-year project, as the organization will receive $85,000 per year for it.
