Icy roads and strong winds are being blamed for a number of collisions across Saskatchewan. A gust of wind forced a Saskatchewan Transportation Company bus into the ditch near Otthon, just outside of Yorkton, but none of the three people aboard was hurt.

Near Tisdale, four children escaped serious injury after the driver of a school bus lost control, causing the bus to flip on its side in a ditch along Highway 35.

On Highway 1 near Regina, a semi lost control near Pinkie Road just before noon, blocking westbound traffic for several hours while the scene was cleared.

And late Wednesday night, a semi spun out of control in the northbound lane of Highway 11 near Davidson, closing the lanes for several hours.

The wind is expected to die down today, but cold temperatures will remain.
