500-lbs statue found in Oakville Museum parking lot

TORONTO – Halton Police are looking for the owner of a large statue that was left at the Oakville Museum parking lot earlier this month.

An employee at the museum found the statue on April 3rd, 2012 at approximately 8:00 a.m.

The marble statue is approximately 500-lbs, three feet tall, missing its top two arms and resembles the Hindu God Ganesh.

Oakville Road and Works Department were called in to remove the statue and was eventually transported to the Halton Regional Police Service Property Bureau.
