Man critical after being attacked in Montreal’s Chinatown

MONTREAL – A man in his 50s was found covered in blood with head injuries Wednesday night.

He was found at 8:30 p.m. in a back alley on Clark Street, near Saint-Urbain Street in Chinatown.

“He was heavily beaten and a little bit unconscious,” said Manuel Couture with Montreal police.

“Some elements at the scene led investigators to believe it may have been related to an armed assault.”

Police said he might have been attacked and hit on the head in an attempted robbery.

He was rushed to hospital and is in critical condition.
