Third car set on fire in Park-Extension

MONTREAL – Arsonists have set fire to a third car in Montreal’s Park-Extension borough.

It happened around 1:15 a.m. on De l’Épée Avenue, near Jean-Talon Street.

“Police officers received a 911 call concerning the beginning of a fire,” explained Manuel Couture with Montreal police.

Traces of accelerants were found inside the vehicle.

“The Montreal police arson squad will try to determine the origin of the fire,” said Couture.

This is the third car in three days to have been set on fire.

Police continue its search for suspects.
