Check your ticket: Two lucky Lotto Max ticket holders $30M richer

Sometimes playing the lottery does pay off, for some in a big way: Friday’s $60-million Lotto Max jackpot will be split by two winning tickets.

One ticket was sold in Edmonton, the other in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Another 10 $1 million-winning MaxMillions prizes were also drawn, which will be split among 14 winning tickets. Those winning tickets were sold in Winnipeg, Alberta, Ontario, Quebec, and in the Atlantic provinces.

The big wins come just weeks after a ticket sold in Mississauga, Ont., grabbed the largest jackpot in Canadian history — $64 million.

Next Friday’s jackpot is an estimated $23 million.
