Nicolas Chapuis tells The Canadian Press that even though it’s still early days, the early words of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau suggest he will play an influential role.

Chapuis says that will mark a change from the role the previous Conservative government likely would have played.

Canada’s new environment minister Catherine McKenna is off to Paris for a three-day meeting of her counterparts that starts Sunday.
