CALGARY – A sentencing hearing will be held later this month for a man who pled guilty to the manslaughter death of Laura Furlan.
Furlan’s family will be able to read victim impact statements at the hearing on Nov. 20.
Christopher Dunlop was arrested in connection to the death of 38-year-old Furlan in 2012.

He was scheduled to stand trial on a charge of first-degree murder starting next week, but instead entered a guilty plea to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
Furlan was reported missing by her family on Aug. 31, 2009. One week later, her body was found in Fish Creek Park by a man walking his dog.
At the time of her death, Furlan had reportedly been working in the sex trade after losing her job as an administrative assistant. Police said her DNA was found inside Dunlop’s truck
