Kelowna judge remembered by colleagues

KELOWNA–Friends, family and colleagues of Kelowna judge Anne Wallace remembered her at a short ceremony at the Kelowna court house on Friday.

Wallace passed away after suffering a sudden brain hemorrhage on Monday night.  She was 61.

“Everyone enjoyed working with Anne,” says friend and colleague Judge Jane Cartwright.  “She was really unusual.  She was a real ball of fire.  She was an energetic and generous person.”

She is remembered as a wife and mother, a champion of the community and an energetic volunteer.

“We’re just heartbroken,” continues Cartwright.  “We just need to somehow get through life without Anne Wallace.  I can’t imagine a world without her.  I really can’t.”

Flags at the Kelowna court house were lowered to half staff on Friday, followed by a minute of silence.
