WINNIPEG – More Canadians are now using mobile phones and tablets than landlines.
A report from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) shows households are increasingly moving from traditional telephones to smartphones only.
Cell phones are in 85 percent of homes compared to landlines at 79 percent.

Wireless data usage grew by 15 per cent in 2014 as people continue signing on to social media and other multimedia services.
About 66 percent of Canadians currently have a smartphone and 49 percent use tablets, which is more than in 2013.
