CALGARY – Police have issued warrants for the arrest of Isaiah Riel Rider, 18, in relation to the second-degree murder of a young Calgary mother.

On Sunday afternoon, officers were called to a home on Ranchlands Bay N.W. for reports of a suspicious death. Once they got there, police discovered the body of a 26-year-old woman who was later identified as Christa Cachene of Calgary. Police said they believe a large party took place at the home on Saturday night and that Cachene was beaten to death early Sunday morning after the party had ended.

Police believe Rider was at the party. They previously said they were looking to speak with Rider in relation to her death, but announced he was a suspect in her murder Friday.
