LAVAL – Francis Jutras, 34, has been charged in connection with Tuesday night’s hammer attacks that left one man dead and two others injured.

Jutras faces six charges including first-degree murder, two counts of attempted murder, breach of condition, breaking and entering and public mischief.
The victim, 19-year-old François-Xavier Théberge, was killed just two streets away from his home.
A 61-year-old man and a 42-year-old woman suffered minor injuries to the head.
Police could not say what Jutras’ motive was.
He was arrested after he shattered a series of car windows and damaged the front window of a store not far from the murder scene.
