LAVAL – A 34-year-old man is in custody, accused of murdering a 19-year-old man with a hammer.
The body of the young victim was found at 1:45 a.m. on 20th Street and Sainte-Rose Boulevard between two houses.
It’s the latest in a series of random attacks that began at 7 p.m. Tuesday night.
The suspect reportedly began his rampage by attacking two people in Laval west, despite having no apparent motive.

The 61-year-old man and 42-year-old woman suffered minor injuries to the head.
He then allegedly went on to attack the 19-year-old, who died from his injuries.
Police said the suspect was arrested after he shattered a series of car windows and damaged the front window of a store not far from the murder scene.
