Fire crews continue to battle scrap yard blaze north of Toronto

TORONTO – Fire crews are continuing their efforts to suppress a scrap yard fire north of Toronto Thursday morning.

Firefighters were called to the scene of a metal recycling centre around 2 a.m. on Woodbine Avenue between Stouffville Road and 19th Avenue in Gormley.

No injuries were reported but the area will remain closed to traffic for most of the morning.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
