Saskatoon Blades edge Swift Current Broncos 6-5

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. – Connor Gay scored a power-play goal at 19:40 of the third period as the Saskatoon Blades capped off a wild third period by edging the Swift Current Broncos 6-5 Sunday. Nick Zajac had one of his two goals in a four-goal third period for the Blades (3-1-3).

Cameron Hebig and Cameron Hausinger also chipped in during the third with Logan Christensen adding the other.

Jon Martin struck twice for Swift Current (3-3-1) while Max Lajoie had a goal and two assists. Calvin Spencer and Scott Feser supplied the rest of the offence.

The Blades host the Brandon Wheat Kings next on Saturday at SaskTel Centre.
