LETHBRIDGE- Kristine Cassie has announced she is leaving her role as chief executive officer of the YWCA.
Cassie has held the role for 10 years, but started with the organization in the youth employment program in 1991.
She will continue to work in the non-profit sector after having accepted the job of director of operations at the Southern Alberta Community Living Association.

It is a brand new role and she says she is looking forward to the new challenge.
“It was a tough decision. Making the change isn’t something you do lightly, but change is good and there are a lot of challenges out there. I’m very committed to the not-for-profit sector.”
Cassie will start her new role in February; her last day with the YWCA is Jan. 22.
