A 67-year-old man could be facing drug trafficking charges after 132 packages of marijuana were discovered in the semi he was driving.
RCMP were called to the West Hawk Scales on Highway 1 at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. During a load securment inspection, the estimated 200 pounds of marijuana was discovered. The packages were vacuum sealed and packed in several cardboard boxes.
The trailer which left from Surrey, British Columbia was headed for Toronto, Ontario.
The investigation is still underway.
