VERNON — They’re either doing it for kicks or because of the rising costs of beef, either way, the owners of Coldstream Ranch want it stopped.
The ranch is offering a reward of $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of cattle poachers after finding three of its cattle dead.

Owners found one cow shot and butchered on King Edward Service Road in Coldstream Wednesday, Oct. 7.
A cow was shot and killed on the same service road in July. The animal wasn’t butchered and its calf was never found.

Coldstream Ranch also reports a cow being shot and butchered near Postill Lake.
The ranch is convinced that someone is intentionally targeting its cattle, possibly because of the high price of beef.
It has posted signs in the Coldstream area hoping it might lead to the arrest of the poachers.
