WINNIPEG — Police have made the first major fentanyl trafficking arrest in the city.
The arrests come after an investigation by the East District Crime and Community Support Units along with the Canine Unit. The arrests were made in the 200 block of St Anne’s Road.
In August, Winnipeg Police issued a warning about the increased popularity of the drug. It followed one death, and another hospitalization, both believed to be linked to Fentanyl use in the same weekend.
