7 of the best newly released hi-def photos of the Apollo moon missions

Remember what it was like when humans landed on the moon?

Likely most of you reading this were either too young or not born when the U.S. first landed people on the moon, but new high-definition photos have been released on Flickr where you can relive the inspiring moments.

The NASA images encompass everything from some early missions like Apollo 7 and 8 to the final Apollo 17 mission of December 1972.

And of course, some iconic images have been included.

The images are part of NASA’s Johnson Space Center collection, processed by Kipp Teague of the Project Apollo Archive. All the images were taken by astronauts using a modified Hasselblad camera.

They even got their “car” shot on the moon.
