RCMP catch escaped Bowden Institution inmate

A 29-year-old inmate who escaped from the Bowden Institution was caught by Innisfail RCMP Sunday night.

Correctional Service Canada (CSC) said Kenton Matthew Boyle had been “unlawfully at large” since 11:45 a.m. Sunday.

Boyle is serving a sentence of over four years for armed robbery, disguise with intent, and possession of property obtained by crime.

CSC is investigating the incident, and said ensuring the safety and security of institutions, staff and public remains its “highest priority.”
