Trump, climate change, gun control: Seth Meyers sounds off at Calgary fundraiser

CALGARY – Late night talk show host and comedian Seth Meyers had fans at the Calgary Jubilee Auditorium rolling with laughter Friday night, in support of a good cause.

It was Meyers’ first time performing in Calgary in a special one-time show as part of the Owen Hart Foundation’s legendary concert series.

“We have been very fortunate to host some incredible talent with likes of Robin Williams, Paul Anka, Steve Martin and so many more,” says founder, Dr. Martha Hart.

Hart is the widow of a world famous wrestler, Owen Hart. Her foundation has two signature programs for scholarships and housing, but also works with dozens of other charities on various fundraising efforts in Calgary and abroad.

Hart also paid tribute Friday night to the 400 Canadian Military members and their supporters in attendance. She announced a donation to the Canadian Legacy Project. The project supports veterans living in poverty.

Over 2,000 guests took in Friday’s show.

Meyers touched on the US election, Donald Trump, climate change, gun control, and his time spent on Saturday Night Live.
