WATCH: Husband has emotional reaction to pregnancy announcement

Seventeen years of emotional highs and lows came pouring out all at once for Arkell Graves when he found out his wife Dana was expecting.

Throughout nearly two decades of marriage the Virginia couple went through four miscarriages and a stillbirth at six months. Eventually, they decided to give up their dream of having children.

That’s why Dana was shocked when she recently found out she was nearly five months pregnant.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Dana said she became suspicious when she and her friends started an exercise regime together, and she was the only one not shedding any pounds.

To surprise Arkell with the news, she planted a package of buns and ultrasound photos in their oven without turning it on.

In the video, which has garnered more than 2 million views in a week, she asks him to take something out of the oven as she stealthily records him from a hip-level mobile device.

“What’s in the oven?” he asks as he opens the oven door. He swings around, stunned.

“You’re pregnant!” he says as a smile grows on his face. “You’re pregnant!”

When Dana tells him she’s nearly five months along and that they are having a boy, Arkell covers his face with his shirt and sobs with joy.

“His reaction was just priceless,” Dana told ABC affiliate WRIC. “I wasn’t expecting that at all. I knew that he would probably be emotional, but I definitely was not expecting the reaction I received.”

Dana recorded the video to share with family and only sent the link to eight people, but is glad that the video is being shared widely if it can bring hope to other families.

“It shows that God is able to do any and all things and I’m just grateful,” she said. “I said if it can help someone else and give them hope that it can happen, then that’s what it’s about.”
