The Brandon Wheat Kings have added left winger Garrett Armour to their roster by swinging a trade with the Saskatoon Blades for a 2017 conditional bantam draft pick.

The 18-year-old Winnipegger scored a goal and five assists in 45 games last season. Armour also had six penalty minutes. He has yet to play a game this year.

Armour was chosen in the seventh round, 135th overall in 2012 by the Edmonton Oil Kings. He played bantam hockey with the Winnipeg Hawks.

The Wheat Kings (1-0-1) return to the ice this weekend for a pair of games. Brandon hosts the Calgary Hitmen (2-0-0) Friday night and travel out to Saskatchewan the following day to face the Regina Pats (1-1-0).
